Every part of you has a story. Let's listen.
We all carry protective parts that once kept us safe — but may now hold us back. Through Internal Family Systems therapy, we learn to meet every part with curiosity instead of conflict. Ashley Anne, MA, LPC.
What if nothing about you is broken?
Internal Family Systems recognizes that we all have parts — the inner critic that demands perfection, the anxious protector scanning for threats, the wounded child still carrying old pain. Instead of fighting these parts, we learn to listen. Every part has a reason for being there. When we meet them with compassion instead of judgment, real healing begins.
How Parts Work healsWhat brings people to my practice
Every concern has parts underneath it. Here's where I most often help.
Anxiety & Overwhelm
The protector parts working overtime to keep you safe — always scanning, always bracing.
Trauma & PTSD
Exiled parts still carrying old wounds, and the protectors guarding access to that pain.
ADHD & Executive Function
Parts that scatter attention as a form of protection — and the shame that often follows.
Depression & Low Motivation
Parts that shut down to protect you from feeling too much — the heaviness that makes everything harder.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy.
My work is rooted in Internal Family Systems, informed by somatic experiencing and EMDR, and shaped by years of sitting with people in their most tender moments. I bring my whole self — including a background in fine arts that taught me to see patterns, trust intuition, and hold space for complexity.
Therapy with me feels like a conversation with someone who genuinely gets it. Direct when it helps, gentle when it matters, always human.
