Every concern has parts underneath it. Here's where I most often help — approached through Internal Family Systems and the understanding that nothing about you is broken.

Anxiety & Overwhelm

Anxiety often comes from a protector part that's always scanning for danger — trying to keep you safe by keeping you on high alert. In IFS, we don't try to silence that part. We get curious about what it's protecting, what it's afraid will happen if it relaxes. When that protector feels heard and understood, it can begin to let go — not because you forced it, but because it finally trusts that you're safe.

Trauma & PTSD

Trauma lives in the parts that carry the memory and the parts that work overtime to keep those memories locked away. Your protectors — the numbing, the hypervigilance, the avoidance — are doing exactly what they were designed to do. Through IFS and EMDR, we create enough safety for those protective parts to step back, so the wounded parts underneath can finally be witnessed, heard, and healed.

ADHD & Executive Function

ADHD brings its own inner cast of characters — the part that scatters attention to avoid overwhelm, the part that hyperfocuses to prove you're enough, the inner critic that shames you for not keeping up. Through parts work, we understand these patterns as protective strategies, not personal failures. When shame lifts, focus often follows.

Depression & Low Motivation

Depression often involves parts that have shut down to protect you from feeling too much — a kind of emotional freeze. There may be parts carrying grief, hopelessness, or exhaustion that they've held for years. We meet the heaviness with gentleness, not demands. Depression doesn't need to be pushed through. It needs to be understood.

Family Systems & Relationships

The parts you carry didn't form in a vacuum — they formed in your family system. The people-pleaser, the peacekeeper, the one who learned to disappear. IFS helps you see which parts were shaped by family dynamics and how those patterns play out in your current relationships. Understanding your family system is often the key to freeing yourself from repeating it.

Self-Worth & Inner Critic

That harsh inner voice — 'you're not enough,' 'who do you think you are,' 'everyone's going to find out' — is one of your most active protector parts. It uses criticism to try to motivate you, to keep you from taking risks that might lead to rejection or failure. In IFS, we don't fight the critic. We listen to what it's really afraid of. When it's heard, it doesn't need to be so loud.
